Art Kenny Scharf Mural Completed Just in Time to Brighten Gloomy Days

Despite a distracting visit from Pee-Wee, Kenny Shcarf managed to finish his smiley-faced mural at Houston and Bowery just before the rain started yesterday, bringing a lot of brightness to a suddenly very cold, wet and unfunny city. Of course, most of the art world went south for some sun this week, but Scharf brought us a little bit of light too. (ANIMAL, photo: Marina Galperina)
