Yesterday, Long Island City residents voiced their concerns. Brooklynites can express their preferences to the Department of Environmental Conservation TODAY, from 3pm-8pm at P.S. 34: 131 Norman Ave., off McGuinness Blvd. (G to Nassau Avenue.) The department was thoughtful enough to start before 5, so that by the time you get there after work, the kooky old people will already be gone.
We've told you about some of the proposals, including (at length) the "Green Eggs Wetland Project". The Open Space Alliance has endorsed another of our favorites, the Greenpoint Boathouse and Environmental Education Center, "a multi-faceted, year-round facility that will transform the Newtown Creek waterfront and significantly expand both open space and waterfront access."
