Brooklyn's New Super Subway Station Opens Today

You'll finally be able to transfer from the R to the A in Brooklyn without going aboveground and taking a short walk around Downtown! As of 1pm today, the Lawrence Street station and Jay Street-Borough Hall combine to become Jay Street-Metrotech, transfer available for the A, C, F and R trains thanks to a new underground connector. This is almost as exciting as when the G train finally went to Fourth Avenue!

And it only cost $160 million! (That includes the pricetag for overhauling the Jay Street station.) Because the MTA has money when it wants to have money...
