Watch Yeasayer Cover Alanis Morissette on New Year's Eve

Posted by on Mon, Jan 3, 2011 at 4:43 PM

Heard it here first, 2011 will be the year 90s nostalgia really takes off in the local music scene (that was a joke.) See, look here: Yeasayer played a screamy, spazzy, light-strobed version of "You Oughta Know" at their New Year's Eve show in Chicago to kick off the year. For more where that came from, they're offering a pay-what-you-want live album as a holiday gift over at their web site.

And here's a better quality video of them with their buddies Suckers, again channeling Alanis at Glasslands in mid-December.
