The Heart in Your Heartbreak 7" came out a few weeks back, and it's the most exciting work they've ever done. The basic framework for any good Pains song—pleasantly overdriven guitars, crazy keyboard melodies, understated, likable vocals—remains intact, but with the help of big-deal producers Alan Moulder and Flood, whose name you may recognize from their work with Smashing Pumpkins Nine Inch Nails, My Bloody Valentine, the whole thing just sounds much, much better, as if a giant down comforter was just suddenly removed from in front of your speakers.
So, anyway, we're really, really enjoying it. And we're happy to report that we have two copies to give away. Here's how you can qualify.
1. Follow LMagMusic on Twitter.
2. Tweet at us with the name of your favorite song produced by either Alan Moulder or Flood. There are many right answers, but also many wrong answers, so be careful. We will say only that any song by Them Crooked Vultures would definitely qualify as a wrong answer.
Good luck, everyone.
