Music With an Assist From A.C. Newman, Okkervil River Bring New Song to Fallon

Breaking from the standard pre-release promotional cycle, Okkervil River appeared on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night, a full four months before their new album, I Am Very Far is scheduled to be released. They played a new track called "Wake and Be Fine," which features a horn section as well as background vocals from New Pornographer and extremely underrated solo artist A.C. Newman. Sheff sounds a bit more unhinged than usual, and it's working quite well. The album's out on May 10th, and you'll catch a glimpse of the very Okkervil River-ish cover art during Fallon's introduction.
