It is worth noting, via the Sebadoh website, that the band is embarking on a west coast tour in February, on which they'll be playing the songs off two of their later-period albums, Bakesale and Harmacy, which, for my money, are the two best albums they ever made (though yes, I was the exact right age for those two, still a bit young for all that came before). One assumes, even hopes, they'll be doing the same thing here. Feel free to beg them to play "Brand New Love" all the same, though.
In other Sebadoh news (as a boy, I dreamed, pathetically, of writing those words for a living), the band is preparing a deluxe reissue of Bakesale—with a second disc featuring demos, acoustic versions and unreleased stuff. I can't find any information about it being released on vinyl, but I will be super angry if it isn't. Have you ever tried to get an original copy of that thing? Sheesh.
