Local Animated Shorts, Free Wine in Bushwick Tomorrow Night, from the Kings County Cinema Society

The Kings County Cinema Society, a loosely collective, nomadic screening series, will be showcasing and hosting a few local animators at the Bushwick space Semi-Legit (6 Charles Place, JMZ to Myrtle-Broadway) tomorrow night, and invites you to hang out (doors at 7, show at 8, free wine until it runs out and a cash bar thereafter!). Among the films they'll be screening is Preston Spurlock's Irks, a bubbly, flat little number about the existential plight of the doodle:

He'll be on hand, as will another of the featured animators, Yvonne Grzenkowicz, presenting Taste, her short, hand-drawn scene from a long marriage (I'm guessing):
