Literary Upstart 2011 Dates Announced!

Literary Upstart, the L's annual search for pocket fiction, is pleased to announce the dates and venues for its four spring readings. (Is it weird to talk about a short fiction competition and reading series like it's a real person capable of feeling pleasure and making announcements?) Previously, we've made our initial announcement and invitation to submit—please do!—and introduced our judges, the distinguished panel of literary insiders who'll be gently and humorously holding forth on the work read at Upstart.

Now, we're ready to announce when and where those readings will be held, after the jump. Stay tuned for more announcements, especially ones pertaining to which types of alcohol will be sold supercheaply at the following places and times:

Semifinal readings:
Wednesday, March 30, 7pm-9pm at Spike Hill in Williamsburg
Wednesday, April 27, 7pm-9pm at Spike Hill
Wednesday, May 25, 7pm-9pm at Spike Hill

Final reading:
Thursday, June 9, 7pm-9pm at Galapagos Art Space in Dumbo

(That's right, we'll be taking over Galapagos. Much more on special guests and other goodies at the final are also to be announced.)
