Posted by Sarah Shanfield on Wed, Mar 9, 2011 at 4:02 PM

This Thursday, March 10, we would like to invite you to Brooklyn Borough Hall in the Rotunda at 11am, where we will be revealing details of this year's Northside Festival, including a teeny, weeny, tasty, sneak peek of bands and showcase presenters that will be participating. Additionally, we will be unveiling the first issue of the soon-to-be released Brooklyn Magazine, a quarterly publication focusing on the styles and trends coming out of Brooklyn today. Select members of the festival talent will be available for interviews and for gawking at. Basically, everyone awesome is at Borough Hall tomorrow, so that just makes it your normal Thursday.

As you know, the Northside Festival will make its return to the streets of Williamsburg and Greenpoint on June 16-19 for a third year of music, film and art. Over a hundred shows are set to take place in nearly every venue in Williamsburg and Greenpoint during the four-day span. Indie film screenings will be curated by some of the most on-point names in the business, and a massive open studios activation throughout the Williamsburg and Greenpoint area will take place in conjunction with Greenpoint Open Studios. Plus, we're even having a DIY film fest for filmmakers like yourself! Yes you, person at home who wishes to be at Borough Hall tomorrow.

We are pleased to announce that plenty of new things are in the works for this year's festival too. Some of the new additions include benefit shows for the Open Space Alliance set to take place at the 5,000-capacity outdoor space at McCarren Park, the aforementioned DIY film competition, and panel discussions exploring the ways business innovators intersect with creative inventors. Four-day (now all-ages) Early-Bird badges will go on sale at a discounted rate of $60 for a limited time, starting at 12pm on Friday, March 11. Check the www.northsidefestival.com for updates.
And if you can't make it tomorrow, check our twitter and facebook for live updates. There will be twitpics, promise!
