News emerged on Tuesday that Puppet's Jazz Club in Park Slope would close
if it couldn't raise roughly $15,000 that night to keep its creditors at bay. Well, it didn't, and the club will not reopen, Park Slope Patch reports
. Despite a blowout fundraiser featuring reportedly big names in local jazz like Arturo O'Farrill and Alex Blake, fewer people than expected or hoped for turned out on Tuesday night. "Puppet's Jazz Bar will be forced to close its doors," a message on the club's Facebook page stated. "We hope not permanently, but definitely for the foreseeable future."
