Last night was the first time Death Cab for Cutie performed "You Are a Tourist," a single off their upcoming album, on live TV after their elaborate single-take music video released last month. Codes and Keys, which will be released May 31, is the band's seventh full-length album, and "feels very Seventies electronic," guitarist Chris Walla told Rolling Stone. While the song deals with feeling displaced and longing for home, Ben Gibbard told MTV News "You Are a Tourist" isn't really full of deep thoughts. Rather, it's Death Cab's go at a catchy pop song.
