It's been almost a year since the latest round of designs for Greenpoint's Transmitter Park revamp and Java Street pier were revealed, and yesterday some behind-the-fences photos from the construction site appeared on Brooklyn365.
As you can see, the pier's concrete structure is complete, just missing all the trimming, finishing and detailing. Once complete, the new space at the end of Java Street would connect to nearby Transmitter Park at Greenpoint Avenue. No completion date has been set, but I'm sure more than a few real estate developers are looking forward to touting the new public space as an amenity for those planned waterfront condos.
