A few vendors don't come as big surprises, seeing as they're already pretty big players on the Williamsburg food scene: Blue Bottle Coffee will be there serving coffee and selling beans, the Meat Hook will be selling hot dogs, burgers and sausages, and Williamsburg pop-up restaurat BEP will be dishing out banh mi sandwiches. There are, however, some newbies that sound pretty exciting.
The awesomely named Bon Chovie will be serving fried fresh anchovies with aioli and lemon. Alexandra Raij, the chef behind the superb Chelsea tapas spots Txikito and El Quinto Pino, will be dishing out gazpacho with an optional dash of crab meat. Mimi and Coco will be serving grilled octopus balls with pork sausage, potato and shrimp filling. King's Crumb, featuring a former Momofuku cook, specializes in biscuits filled with things like fried chicken and homemade pork sausage, while Brooklyn Oyster Party will be shucking raw oysters for under $3 a piece.
Wow, I'm hungry just from typing that last paragraph. Oh, and in case you want to do a little grocery shopping between bouts of stuffing your face, there will also be a fair amount of Greenmarket Vendors there, including rooftop farm Brooklyn Grange, Hudson Valley Duck and Ronnybrook Farm Dairy. I'm no psychic, but I would recommend getting there early, because by mid-afternoon I assume it's going to swarming with hordes of camera-equipped foodies.
