Czech Artist Has Solution for Bike Lane-less Brooklyn Cyclists

Projection bike lane.

The Brooklyn bike lane wars have claimed many victims, most notably a section of the Bedford Avenue bike lane in South Williamsburg, planned bike lanes on Lafayette Avenue in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill and a bike lane on Bay Ridge Parkway between Bay Ridge and Bensonhurst, but Czech artists Vladimir Turner and Ondrej Mlady may have a solution for Brooklyn cyclists seeking safety on the road: the Safety First self-projected bike lane.

It doesn't look especially safe, and obviously there's no buffer, but the handlebars-mounted projection offers added visibility and presumably some kind of false sense of security from being inside a completely unprotected lane. But the real questions is: would it help keep South Williamsburg school buses at a distance?
