Notice any unexpected improvements on your commute yesterday? Like, say, a new, perkier MTA map installed at select subway entrances by street artist Beast parodying the MTA's new "We're making improvements..." campaign. In another variant, after the jump, Manhattan's sudden resurgence is attributed to the death of Osama bin Laden.
From Beast's website, there seem to be a handful of these placed atop subway entrances throughout Manhattan, much to the indifference of the unsuspecting and disoriented tourists consulting them.
We're reminded, in the realm of visual puns based on the apparent flaccidity of a giant geographic body, of that classic Satire Wire article about the effects of a Viagra spill in Lake Michigan.
