- Now that's what I call contextual!
Scaffolding collapsed atop an under-construction building in Park Slope earlier this week, littering the street and nearby roofs with debris in mid-afternoon, the Carroll Gardens Patch
reported. Residents of apartments that neighbor the building, on Fourth Avenue near Eighth Street, were forced to evacuate pending an assessment by the department of buildings.
No one was hurt in the accident, and nearby structures seemed to suffer only superficial damage at worst.
"We were just in the house and we heard the big boom,” one evacuee told Patch. "All the metal pieces fell in the back yard."
