Over the next few days, we'll have much to say about
David Comes to Life, the career-defining new album by everyone's favorite profanity-loving Torontonian punks, Fucked Up. The album's out everywhere tomorrow, but starting at midnight tonight,
Matador Records will be selling the digital version at a discounted price. How discounted? Depends what time you buy. At exactly 12am it will run you $3.99, but you'll want to act fast: the price will steadily increase until noon tomorrow, when it will be back to full price. You should just
buy the vinyl, of course, but, you know... this is fun too.
Not as fun, though, as what the band has planned in their hometown tonight. They've set up shop at a Toronto art gallery, where, starting at midnight and throughout the day tomorrow, the band members themselves will be selling the new record, as well as other selections from their extensive and extremely collectible catalog. There will be DJ sets, free beer and chips. Toronto, it should be noted, is just a quick 8-hour drive from NYC. If you can't make it, though, Matador will have streaming video from the event.
