Since
opening in the fall of last year, the House of Vans skate park and event space has remained a sight somewhat unseen. Aside from the passing fleets of skater kids whooshing up and down Kent Avenue on balmy summer nights, one might not even know this place exists. But oh man, you're about to. Two free shows have just been announced for
Vans' House Parties summer series, and the lineup is absolutely insane—in a good way.
No Age, Health, Cults and Ceremony are playing June 30, and
Superchunk is headlining a July 14 show. And there are four more in the series after that—lineups have yet to be announced, but the dates are July 29, August 4, August 18 and August 25. Because the shows are free, entry is RSVP only—then it's first-come, first-serve, starting at 5 p.m. West Williamsburg is about to get very, very packed. Time to get on that
