There's a subtle, um, art, to writing a compelling aritst's statement. In my experience as a reader of many, the only ones that really stick are either incredibly specific in their explanations of the work, or totally off the wall and outrageous. Most, though, throw around familiar terms from critical theory and art history classes, and end up stating virtually nothing, which is also what this handy Arty Bollocks Generator does. One begins thusly:

With influences as diverse as Camus and John Lennon, new combinations are generated from both explicit and implicit textures.Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by the traditional understanding of relationships.
