Over the weekend a new quasi-local art fair made its debut, artMRKT Hamptons, with thirty-three exhibitors from all over the U.S. including a substantial Brooklyn contingent (and a couple international participants) filling spacious booths in a series of tents on the grounds of the Bridgehampton Historical Society. I spent the afternoon there yesterday, and was generally very impressed with the overall quality of the work, and relieved by the modest but attentive attendance and spaciously hung booths. Also, the beach was about a ten minute bike ride away. Here are some photos. (Don't miss it next summer!)

We visited the inaugural summer fair in Bridgehampton, and look forward to going back next year.
