Local dreamers Mainland — perhaps you remember them from our 8 Bands You Need to Hear issue this spring — are prepping the release of their debut EP, Summer Sick, out September 5. See what they did there, with slating the physical release date around the time summer bummer syndrome universally sets in and everyone starts itching for crisp, cool fall air? The single's video looks just as it should, stringing together photos seemingly shot with a Hipstamatic phone app, perfectly capturing the color-drained, heat-absored dog days of summer.
