Music The Weeknd Release Another New Mixtape, and It Has All the Same Problems as That Last One

Those, of course, being 1) a propensity for navel-gazing that, frankly, outdoes anything we've seen from the more famously self-obsessed indie rock genre in quite a while, 2) some of the most ridiculous, juvenile lyrics you will hear anywhere all year, 3) A sense of smugness that pops up throughout (though admittedly this may just be a result of Drake's mere association with the project), 4) the unwavering commitment to haziness, which I'm realizing isn't the problem in and of itself, rather the lack of adventurousness beneath it, made worse by 6) extreme long-windedness. But, you know... be my guest.
