Music Two-Thirds of Mr. Dream Soundtrack the New Foot Locker Commercial

Local trio Mr. Dream has a new song circulating the blogosphere — the hurtling, tightly wound "Moneybags," which drummer Nick Sylvester told Stereogum is an accurate portrayal of what they're going for on their next full-length, tentatively (perfectly) titled Montreal Sex Machine, in the way it double dips into the super poppy but also the super aggressive. But for a different twist on the threesome's persistently hard-hitting 90s references Consequence of Sound points us to the latest Foot Locker commercial, the one portraying the Wright Brothers at the forefront of sneaker fashion, obviously. Sylvester and bassist Matt Morello are the guys behind that thick, 70s-inspired funk in the background. Watch above.
