- Look closely—it's a bullethole!
Several women and their babies were enjoying a playdate Tuesday in a Downtown Brooklyn apartment when a bullet came through the wall two feet above their heads, the Carroll Gardens Patch
reported. The bullet came from a police officer's gun, which accidentally fired when an officer moved to avoid being hit by a stolen car, whose driver had just smashed into a trailer being used by the
recently ubiquitous Pan Am production.
"He could have killed us," the 31 schoolteacher who lives at 166 Atlantic Avenue told the Daily News. "Two feet lower and it would have killed me." Not to mention her four-month-old daughter.
On Labor Day, a stray bullet likely fired by police during a shootout killed an innocent bystander, a 56-year-old woman on her stoop in Crown Heights.
