Every Tuesday night, record producer/DFA resident DJ/enthusiastic music know-it-all Tim Sweeney plays an eclectic mix of dance music's most noteworthy past and present acts during his appropriately named
Beats in Space radio show on
WNYU. This has been going on for 12 years now. To celebrate the anniversary, he's rallied a who's who of local synth-players for a
one-day festival this Sunday in the parking lot on N 6th Street in Williamsburg (right around Music Hall of Williamsburg). Ghostly's Matthew Dear caps off a day that will also see sets by Juan MacLean, Metro Area, Rub n Tug, DJ Nature, Blondes and McSweeney himself. Tickets will cost you $30; buy those
here and check
this out for more info.
