TV This Week on 2 Broke Girls: Jokes About Hitler, Tampons and... The Black Kids?

And we’re back for another week of terribly terrible one-liners from 2 Broke Girls the only show that manages to fit multiple rape jokes into 22 minutes! *Laugh track goes crazy* What’s on the proverbial menu for this week? Well, there’s Hitler, women getting their periods, and more outdated music references! Our five favorites, below.
#5. “Hipsters like karaoke.”
“Replace the word ‘like’ with the word ‘Hitler,’ and you’ve got the three worst things in history.”
Weird, though: that’s not how you spell “Whitney Cummings.”
#4. “You are the girl that I’ve been dreaming of/Ever since I was a little girl.”
Those are, of course, the lyrics to “I’m Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance with You” by the Black Kids, a song and a band that haven’t been thought about since 2008. And yet, it was featured in last night’s episode, during a dance party scene. For a show that’s desperately trying to appeal to hipsters (even if it's by doing the one thing hipsters like most: making fun of hipsters), wouldn’t it have been wise to chose a group whose last album came out some time in the past three years?
#3. “That’s when my dad bought Chestnut for me. It was my first period present.”
“Your dad got you a horse for getting your period? O.M.G.”
For those of you who aren’t 2 Broke Girls aficionados, Chestnut is Caroline’s horse, and Caroline is a privileged brat, and the “O.M.G” was said by Max, who’s being ironic even though she hates irony. This show has layers, people. LAYERS.
#2. “Haven’t you ever been at a lost for words?”
“Tampons, yes. Words, nah.”
