Never one to hold back his thoughts or feelings—he's like the new Ryan Adams but much more endearing — Girls frontman Christopher Owens tweeted early this morning, "Here's my tour video diary. Thanks to everyone who was a part of this, from band to label to friends & fans. With love." The seven-plus minute travelogue from Girls' September-October tour drips with all the ennui we've come to expect from the damaged-but-with-a-heart-of-gold singer. Interspersing shots of books he read in the van (as discussed via Twitter, Jaycee Dugard and Mia Hamm biographies) and songs he listened to on his iPod (Bjork, the Lost Highway soundtrack) are some glimpses of the world outside: a sign that reads "fueling the American spirit" at a gas station, a convenience store shelf stocked with gun-related magazines, etc. It ends with a shot that looks like Owens took while standing center stage at the end of a show, fulfilling a sort of triumphant, voyeuristic fantasy for those of us who have never been a lead singer in a much-adored band. Watch it above.
