Police arrested a 26-year-old man late Tuesday for groping an 18-year-old woman's buttocks as she left the 36th Street subway on Monday, the Post reports
. It's not yet clear if the man is responsible for any of the other 12 similar assaults
that have set the Park Slope, Windsor Terrace and Sunset Park areas on edge since March—he "fits the description in most of the attacks," the tabloid writes, "but cops believe there are up to three other assailants"—but the man admitted to police, the Post
reports, that he has groped before—he's just not sure where or when. The accused perp, Adolfo Martinez of 42nd Street, was also arrested once before for grabbing a woman's behind in Manhattan's Chinatown in 2007, and had a warrant out for that incident after missing two court appearances.
Police found the suspect after two cops recognized his boots from surveillance video of the attack; a search of his apartment yielded the sweater the assaulter in the video wore. Martinez has a wife and 8-month-old son.
