'Tis the season for good cheer and gluttony... and so London-based DJ Ramjac did the sensible thing, piling every single Beatles song ever recorded, all 226 of them, into one eight-minute-long mix. Happy holidays, you guys! It's called "All Together Now," and it's pretty awful to listen to. His strategy is interesting though, compiling tracks according to their length, from the Beatles' longest to their shortest. So we get "Revolution 9" running into "Hey Jude," layered over "She's So Heavy" and so on. At first it's a detective game to identify each new song as it enters the mix, like listening to Girl Talk or something, but it quickly becomes an indistinguishable mass of static noise. Like mashed potatoes, sometimes there can be too much of a good thing. Listen below if you want?
