Watching them perform at our CMJ show last month (here's a video!), with Ibsen's pixie stature contorting into Karen O-meets-Iggy Pop contortions to complement Watson's sure steadiness, it was dumbfounding to think they're not The Brooklyn band everyone is talking about right now. (Nick Zinner had a hand in mixing the EP, btw, so prepare for some Yeah Yeah Yeah comparisons.) A tour supporting The Kills at some of the nation's flagship venues this winter should do just the trick — Terminal 5, here they come. It'd be wise to catch them at Death by Audio tomorrow night then, to properly welcome their EP to the world. Their December 16 show at Knitting Factory with Parts & Labor and Pterodactyl is one to mentally bookmark while you're at it.
