I'm not gonna sit around all day arguing about who should or shouldn't have gotten into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, because, well, we've been down that road before and it has taught us only that the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is super silly. But now that Guns N' Roses are officially first-ballot inductees, I figure it's as good a time as any to listen to this clip of Axl Rose talking shit about Kurt Cobain. There's really an awful lot to take in here. The way he actually seems never to have heard the word alternative before it was applied to a certain strain of rock music! The veiled anti-gay remarks! Pronouncing "Nirvana" like an 80-year-old redneck on a porch in 1950! Unironically starting a sentence with the words "Ain't no"! It really is amazing what you can fit into a mere two-minute rant when you are on the verge of total cultural irrelevance.
