Parody Street Artist Hanksy to Make Big Splash with First Solo Show

It's been a good year for Hanksy, the Banksy-parodying, Tom Hanks-punning street artist whose work has been appearing around Soho and the Lower East Side (and Bushwick!). And like any self-respecting street artist, he's now generated enough buzz to land his first gallery exhibition.

Hanksy will have his solo debut in a one-night Hankstravaganza on January 13th at Lower East Side art space Krause Gallery—which has also been exhibiting works by internet-adored street artist Olek.

The exhibition at 149 Orchard Street will last from 7-10pm. Expect many more new Hanksy pieces in the next five weeks.
