Christopher Hitchens's Ten Worst Enemies

The late Christopher Hitchens took great pleasure in his articulacy—as did we all—and took great offense at blinkered belief. He knew he was right, to borrow the title of one perceptive profile, and he couldn't bear to let stand anything that was wrong (or, indeed, anyone whose equivocation, bad logic or soft convictions provided implicit support). Writing was his part in a great, morally charged power struggle; here are some of his many adversaries.
