With beloved DJ-slash-party starter Jonathan Toubin still in the hospital after a freak car accident, more than a few bands have been doing their part to help chip away at medical costs by playing benefit shows around the country, but perhaps none more as thrilling as that featuring the indomitable Yeah Yeah Yeahs at Brooklyn Bowl — or at least none featuring Karen Claus, a name I just made up that Karen O is free to use as she pleases.
She and her Yeah Yeah Yeahs were joined on Friday night by Stabbing Eastward, Jon Spencer's Heavy Trash, Reverent Vince Anderson, Royal Baths and more. Photographer Nadia Chaudhury was there to document it for us. Check out the photos below, then head over to the recently launched I <3 Jonathan Toubin website if you'd like to donate but missed out on this weekend's action.
