Two workers repairing the Smith-Ninth Street subway station were hit by falling concrete on Tuesday morning, the
Post reports. One worker, part of a team clearing concrete from the station, was struck in the head; he is in critical condition at Lutheran. (The
Daily News has
a photograph of him being wheeled into the hospital.) Another worker was hit in the arm and taken to the same hospital. OSHA is investigating. The station has been
closed since June for rehabilitation work, and is supposed to reopen in spring.
