News NYC Marijuana Arrests Up in 2011

Marijuana is only illegal in NYC if it's "in plain view." (Or, you know, on fire.) NYPD officers would stop pedestrians, tell them to run their pockets, and arrest them if they took marijuana out because, aha, now it was in plain sight. "That’s not the intent of the law," Ray Kelly told the Times. "That’s what that directive was meant to address."

75 Million in taxpayers money...that's ridiculous, if you ask the taxpayers of New York, I think we would all prefer to put that money into the city, through fixing up these roads, schools and maybe just improving the overall quality of our city....it's disgusting that our taxpayer funds get spent so frivolously, by a bunch of individuals who are sent out to enforce the law, although none of them even have an actual education in it, so how can you properly enforce what you don't know.....
So we pay for these individuals to just make a quota, and keep themselves in good standing in their jobs.....bad, moronica cops, messing it up for those who become cops to actually do good....
I find it strange, that if you operate as a doctor without a license you go to jail, so how do we allow NYPD to operate handguns, batons, and basically mess up lives for individuals, without a law degree, funny....
