Jack White is currently on a promotional tour for his first solo album, Blunderbuss, set to be released by Third Man Records on April 23, 2012, and he appeared on SNL this weekend to play two songs from it. For the first, the deceptively sinister blues-folk “Love Interruption,” White was backed by six female musicians, all wearing light colors, and for the second, the scorching “Sixteen Saltines,” five male musicians, all wearing dark suits. In other words, very little has changed for the man with the longest Wikipedia "Associated Acts" section ever.

Though the White Stripes split up over a year ago, and haven’t released an album since 2007’s Icky Thump, people on Twitter were still surprised to see Jack appear on-stage without his beat-keeping former band mate, Meg White — and I was surprised that people still aren’t sure whether they’re brother/sister or husband/wife. Here are 12 of the dumbest tweets about Jack White’s SNL performance.
