Sleigh Bells and Indie Rock's New Approach to Mainstream Pop Covers

So this is what indie rock looks like in 2012: Fresh off an appearance on Saturday Night Live, a drummerless duo known for loud, sloppy beats, pointy-headstocked guitars and over-driven metal riffs performs an acoustic set for a radio station, including a cover of Beyoncé's massively popular slow-jam "Irreplaceable" that contains not the slightest hint of irony, even during that part where she rhymes "in a minute" with "in a minute."
