For our readers who may not be familiar with your work, what’s the most accurate thing someone else has said about it?
I think Mark Bibbins said it best: “A little dark, a little damaged, a little deranged…and never short on the titular organ [the heart], which also acts as mouth and mind… some of what’s coming in and out are flashes of light that you can read it by.”

I’ve been an artist at starving. I’ve been a girl. I shrank, got cold and wrote too tiny.
What would you characterize as an ideal interaction with a reader?
Making out on darkened street corners.
