On Wednesday, British paper
The Guardian verified and began sharing some of the 3,000 emails leaked to them by activists from the Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad and his wife Asma's private accounts. The Syrian uprising has been met with brutal suppression—in a year since the rebellion began, 8,000 people have been killed, and the world has witnessed Syrian military hospitals
turned into torture chambers. But you wouldn't know it from looking at what Bashar al-Assad's been buying online (
fondue sets), or ordering on iTunes (LMFAO's "Sexy And I Know It"). No, it's not a joke. Also
included on the list are Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now," country singer Blake Shelton's "God Gave Me You," and a Harry Potter movie. To read more about the leak and follow its consequences, head
