Empire Fulton-Ferry State Park

Nestled beneath the Manhattan Bridge by the East River, this scenic park is so picturesque it might seem like people decide to get married in order to take their wedding photos here. Nevermind them and set up your feast with friends along the romantic shoreline.

Pros: The view and fun nearby places in DUMBO to go, like art galleries and bookstores
Cons: The constant tremor of trains crossing the Manhattan Bridge overhead is like a constantly nagging member of the party
Places nearby to fill your basket: Forager's Market (56 Adams St.), Peas & Pickles (55 Washington St.), Jacques Torres Chocolate (62 Water St.)
