The Coney Island Checkers will be located at the foot of the entrance to the Stillwell Avenue subway, which could give the chain an advantage. (Nathan's is all the way across the street!) Last year, the Popeye's in the Henderson Building right across the street closed because the building was demolished; it relocated to the Popper Building nearby.
There are already seven Checkers locations just in Brooklyn, from South Williamsburg to East Flatbush. As one reviewer of the Downtown Brooklyn location put it on Google, "It's like a high end mcdonalds lol it's ok but I enjoy mcdonalds more."
