Art Damien Hirst Donates a Painting to Burger King

When asked about the Hirst donation, a representative from Burger King UK said, "We've given Londoners and guests to the capital a little something extra to enjoy!" And there will be plenty of visitors to the city, due to the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
Burger King isn’t the only London institution using Hirst to draw in visitors from the Olympics Games. For the Love of God, Hirst’s iconic diamond-studded skull, will be on view at the Tate Modern museum throughout the London games.
Looks like Burger King and the Tate will be competing for long lines of hungry, discount-driven visitors. While the retail value of a Damien Hirst painting can soar into the million dollar range, the entrance of admission to the Tate for Hirst’s exhibition will cost about 20 U.S. dollars. And for the total cheapskate, there’s always the option of a Whopper with fries and a coke.
