We're starting something new today, in which we check in with bands as they make their way to New York and ask what five things—
any five things—are helping them cope with the trenches of touring. A new song they heard on the radio, a restaurant they've eaten at while on the road, an old t-shirt, a particularly twisted episode of
Breaking Bad—it's all fair game. Today we hear from Ms. Best Coast, Bethany Cosentino, who leads a
sold-out show tonight at Terminal 5 in support of her, you might've heard,
country-dusted sophomore album paying equal respects to Fleetwood Mac and California.
