Friday, July 20th:
Performance & discussion: Triple Canopy, Amaranth Borsuk and Erica Baum
Billed as The In-Between, this evening with author-artists Borsuk and Baum, in collaboration with LA-based Siglio Press, will challenge various standards of artistic forms and mediation. One look at Borsuk's recently published Between Page and Screen should evidence that these folks are posing proper questions—and that 'in-betweens' are ripe places for probing.

Opening: Regina Rex, Practices Remain
In this 12-artist exhibition with organizational roots in Miami, a particular moment in the creative process will adhere the works on display: a moment one might describe as incomplete completion. Spearheaded by artists Alexandra Hopf, Odalis Valdivieso and Marcos Vallela, with critical endorsement by Rene Morales, Associate Curator at the Miami Art Museum.

Saturday, July 21st:
Opening: Invisible Dog, Siamese Connection: 3012
Optimistic views of the future, albeit quite a distant one, come to Brooklyn courtesy of a group of young Thai artists whose multi-media imaginings are meant to envision 3012. This is the third annual Brooklyn showcase of talent from Thailand, and if last year's iteration at the same venue is any indication, 3012 should be quite a success. There will be a dance performance at the opening; next weekend, film and music will come to the fore. Full schedule is here.

Opening: 245 Varet, Swing Swang Swung
Head to this kinda sorta almost maybe official exhibition space to see abstract paintings by Brooke Moyse, Jon Newman, Joe Ballweg and a number of others.

Sunday, July 22nd:
Benefit: Residency Unlimited, RU Funraiser 2012
Help this nonprofit organization fund its residencies for artists and curators by drinking beers and eating sweets. Okay, you might have to buy a ticket first, but whatever. This is also your chance to get jiggy with a 12-headed audio-visual mechanism of the 'lumiphonic' variety.
