9. Michael Mahalchick's Bacon Art
This spring, Michael Mahalchick pinned bacon to the walls of CANADA, another gallery located on the Lower East Side. They sure love food and art in the LES! Mahalchick’s greasy, aromatic strips were just one bit of the artist’s playful, caddywompus installation of paintings, sculptures, and other found objects.
