#9. SSION, House of Ladosha @ Santos Party House, 9/20
We toyed with including GWAR's Music Hall of Williamsburg show on October 16th, because, dudes, GWAR is playing Brooklyn! But, head-spinning WTF-ery aside, we don't really want to sit through that. We are however, psyched for the "gay GWAR" antics of Kansas City's SSION, who are never not amazing live. The last time we saw them, they lit cartoon dynamite sticks and covered that one Michael Jackson song from the 90s with Magic Johnson as a pharoah or something in the video. Karen O was dancing like a maniac two feet in front of us. And they are funny! For real, not just because they are grown men giving birth to monsters on stage (though you can't rule that possibility out). See the terrific Truth or Dare spoofing going on above for proof.
