Do you remember how old you were when you first heard Fiona?
Sara: I was 15, in the first years of high school.
Kristin: I heard her probably around eighth grade and then just got into her recently when her new album came out.
Katherine: About the same; age 15.

Were you immediate fans, or did it take you some time to warm up to her?
Sara:When first I started listening to her newest album, I fell in love with her. Her writing is like poetry. I just definitely connected with everything. The first album I listened to was Extraordinary Machine. I just loved it so much.
Kristin: "Paper Bag" was the first song I heard. That's what made me a fan of hers.

Can you put into words what draws you to her?
Sara: I have to say her honesty. And the words. No one writes like that.
Kristin: The way she puts her emotions and thoughts into words... and how she does that for us.

She gave this now somewhat infamous speech at the Video Music Awards back in the day. Do you guys know about that at all? [Editor's note: They would've been 4-years-old at the time.]
Sara: No, I don't know about that.

Is this the first time seeing her live?
Sara: Yes! My best friend bought us tickets for our 19th birthdays, so we came up here. We're from North Carolina.
