Do you remember how old you were when you first heard her music?
Chris: I guess I was, like, 12.
John: I'm more of a recent fan.
Do you remember what year that was or what album that was around?
Chris: It was junior high school, around her second album, I think. Late 90s.
Were you immediate fans, or did it take you some time to grow into it?
Chris: I loved her since she came out. I really loved that CD, When the Pawn... I was listening to it all the time.
John: I just really liked that she was vegan.
Do you guys remember when the video for "Criminal" came out?
Chris: I remember that I saw it, yeah.
Did that have any meaning for you seeing it for the first time?
Chris: I think we were a little too young.
I know it's hard to put into words, but what about her make you fans?
Chris: I like that she writers her own songs. She has something to say that's different. Her music is more passionate than a lot of other people out there.
John: And I like that she doesn't eat animals.
